Use a HomeScope account to group work by property, remember a small set of project facts, and return to the next planning step. Every public calculator and guide still works without signing in.
It saves the project index—not every worksheet.
HomeScope saves only work items you explicitly add: property nickname, community when entered, project name and type, quantity, priority, status, delivery choice, mixed-work package names/owners/statuses, and timestamps. Contractor names, bids, worksheet answers, addresses, and private notes are not part of the account dashboard.
Seven simple actions
From first sign-in to a useful project dashboard.
Sign in by email
Enter your email on the account page. HomeScope sends a secure, passwordless link. Open the newest link to complete sign-in; an older or expired link may require a new request.
Name the property
Use a private nickname such as “New house” or “Rental.” A street address is not required. Add the community only when it helps preserve useful project context.
Choose DIY, contractor, or mixed
Choose how the project may be completed. For mixed work, split the job into packages—such as DIY brush cleanup and contractor removal of the hazardous trunk—and give each package an owner and status.
Save from a planning page
When a HomeScope tool already has a project, community, or quantity, open My Account and explicitly save that current context to a property. Nothing is uploaded merely because you used a calculator.
Update priority and status
Use Urgent, High, Planned, or Later for priority. Move the work through To scope, Getting quotes, Scheduled, and Complete as the project changes.
Resume the next decision
Use Resume planning to reopen the relevant HomeScope journey. Use Quotes to carry the saved project context into bid comparison without retyping the basic facts.
Move, print, or remove
Move a work item between property nicknames, print a compact active-project summary, or delete an account item. Deleting an account item does not erase separate worksheets stored only on that device.
A useful setup
One property can hold several decisions.
Imagine a homeowner preparing a recently purchased house. The dashboard can keep separate tracks without turning the property into one giant, vague project.

You can use HomeScope's public guidance, calculators, official-source directory, and planning tools without signing in.
If sign-in does not complete
Request a fresh link—then use the newest email.
- Confirm the email address is spelled correctly.
- Check spam or junk folders and allow a short delivery delay.
- If several links were requested, open the newest one.
- If a link expired or was already used, return to My Account and request another.
- If the problem continues, use the Contact page without sending the sign-in link or token.
