OSHA treats tree work near energized lines as a specialized electrical hazard. DTE says it does not trim around the service drop from the pole to a home and strongly recommends a professional tree service because the line is energized. Do not assume DTE will perform that work or that a general tree crew is qualified for line-clearance work.
